About me

“1 River, 2 Barges, FREE GIGS...9 Bands!”

From the 1st to 8th of June, a collection of 9 of the hottest up and coming bands and artists take to the river sailing from Camden to Oxford.

Traveling in barges and playing a series of FREE acoustic riverside shows and FREE full band shows in venues en-route it will make for a unique new eco-friendly method of touring.

The bands will live, sleep and eat on the barges and stop to play FREE shows at venues along the way. Each day they will stop off at a new riverside town to play a variety of venues.

“Taking nine bands on barges down The Thames for a week in June and playing free gigs everywhere we went just felt like not only a unique, exciting and eco-friendly concept, but also a great way to introduce audiences to a fantastic collection of new bands and artists.”

Along with the live gigs, each boat will be rigged up with web cams and audio recording equipment from which performances, collaborations and video diaries will be broadcast live each day straight to the net. These live broadcasts, along with daily blog diaries, interviews and news, will all be found on seatwave.com. This will keep fans up to date with the action on board and allow unprecedented access to the lives of bands on the road.

7th June - Abbingdon – The Stocks (7pm – 12AM)
8th June – Oxford - The Cellar. (7pm – 12AM)
